Auto Express has produced its Driver Power customer satisfaction survey for 2018 that covers various things to do with motor vehicles such as car insurance, manufacturers of cars and breakdown cover. Below we provide some information relating to how motorists felt about their motor insurance provider.
The survey covered all areas of car insurance including the experience drivers had at point of sale through to making a claim on their policies.
It is interesting that NFU Mutual was voted as the best car insurance company for the third year in the row with a rating of 96.01%. That is quite an achievement and they are to be commended for their success. With the exception of one category, the company was rated number one. The categories that it came out on top in were telephone experience when making a claim, keeping you informed when a claim is being assessed, speed to settle a claim, friendliness and helpfulness during a claim, value for money and overall satisfaction with the claims process. The only category that it was not number one for, although it still ranked highly, was ease of purchase (web and phone) with RSA taking up the number one spot. 93% of those taking part in the survey who had NFU Mutual policies said that he or she would be happy to renew their policy.
In second place was the Police Mutual society on 93.06%. This particular insurer provides car insurance policies for police officers. 93% of policyholders taking part in the survey said that they would renew their cover with them.
In third place was Liverpool Victoria on 90.83%. This was a big jump on its performance in 2017 when it finished in ninth spot. 85% of its policyholders taking part in the survey said that they would renew their cover with them.
